fails to complete program

This was a warranty replacement for our first XR. Both units failed to complete programs, stopping at different points in the cycles. Untrustworthy.

Broken devise

The devise I ordered didn’t work. Took a while lots of calls but Orbit finally sent me a new replacement. As soon as we connected it it worked.

Advanced Controller

Use of this controller is entirely driven by the quality of the software used to access it. And the software is very good. You can do everything from simple timed zone control to advanced smart watering. I've found that the advanced approach tends to over water a tad so only use it for my sunnier patches to augment the normal schedule. Living in Colorado, water is scarce and must be managed well.
I love that I can control the zones remotely which helps when doing repairs.
My original unit was purchased in Sept of 2023 after my old unit blew a transformer. I didn't figure out how to turn off the unit so left it on all winter and just disabled the programs. After a full season of using the unit, figured out how to turn it off. It was plugged into a power strip to help protect it, but it failed to power up this spring following the manuals steps. Tried following the troubleshooting steps with no success.. Orbit warranty was fantastic and shipped me a new controller - which has been working perfectly. Still concerned about powering down the system per instructions, and it now coming back. This is the reason for only 4 stars. I'm going to try just unplugging it at the end of this season to see how that works...
The price has dropped by 50% on the system since I first purchased on Amazon. For the money, I think this is the best system out there.

I love this new irrigation timer

I have used the beehive products for several years so I am familiar with them and that is why I purchased the new one for a new property. It was a little bit confusing for me at first to connect because I am a senior citizen, but I got help from your help desk and it works great.
