Purchased two sets from Home Depot. Both sets stopped working. When called for replacement . I had to prove that they were not working. one was easy because it was just out side and half connected to the facuet. The other was on a mobile unit and the temp was over 100 degrees outside . I am 80 years old and did not want to go through the hassel to prove that it also was not working. So I only got a replacement for one unit. I still have the other unit that still is not working. Thus the two star rating.

I like this quick connect set, but the o-ring that enables the shutoff on disconnect features routinely breaks after just a couple of months. I cannot find the correct size to replace it anywhere and Orbit will not sell just the gaskets for the quick connect. I filed a warranty claim and they gave me a $10 gift card that almost covered the cost of a new set, all I wanted was some replacement gaskets. It would be great if the o-ring would t fail, or if you could just buy a bunch of the correct size o-rings. The Eley quick connect doesn’t have shutoff, but the do sell replacement o-rings for the primary seal.
Also, when shopping in the Orbit website, it’s impossible to tell if the quick connect includes shutoff. They make versions with and without shutoff, all the listings say “shutoff” as a feature, but what you actually receive is semi-random, sometime you get auto-shutoff and sometimes you don’t. Orbit customer service seems to be based in India and is very rude and completely unaware of what the products being sold actually are.

I love these but the o-rings have either leaked or got rock hard within one years use. Orbit has always replaced them though. I think silicone rings might be a better solution than rubber.
The original disconnects appeared to be a mixture of brass or some type of alloy. Corrosion after one season stopped the function of auto shut off. The replacement actually look like real brass.
Works for me!!!!
Good product but will corrode and fail in a few years. Electroplating coating is not thick or robust enough to handle average quality water.
