It started leaking after a year because the lid was fixed by a small screw in a small plastic hole in the base, which made it easy to loosen and then it started leaking. When I opened it today, the lid suddenly sprayed out.
Although it has been almost 2 years since I bought it, I have actually only used it for one year. I bought it in September 2023, and winter came soon after. I used it for one year in 2024, but it started to leak in October of that year. I continued to use it reluctantly this year, but it finally broke down completely.
Stanley is a very famous brand, but I don't know why this product is so bad.
I paid over $20 for this nozzle thinking it was going to be better than the $3.99 nozzle on sale at Harbor Freight that I've been using. But what I found out was the Fatmax has a weak poorly designed handle. The handle first broke on the side so I super glued it and it held up. Then a month later the handle broke at the hinge point. I glued it again and it broke the first time I used it, at that point it was unrepairable. So, it had a lifetime warranty and I called Stanley, they gave me the phone number to call at Orbit. They replaced it without question. So that was good. But I could buy 5 Harbor Freight nozzles for the same price. And to be honest, the Harbor Freight nozzle actually lasted longer. For me, not worth the price until they redesign the handle to a thicker more durable design.

Thanks for the warranty exchange of the hose nozzle I had, to getting the new replacement. The new replacement is very good, and I like it better than the old one.

This nozzle is a bit large for my hand. The small ring that flips down to keep the nozzle on is very loose and slips down when I don't want it down. However I do like the nozzle otherwise. It works very smoothly at this point.

Not a bad product but needs some work, the stay metal lever drops on it's own rendering it unable to run off as well as the nozzle often does not shut off. The handle rubber grip falls off and the handle breaks under pressure and the nozzle spray on the from selector seems to come not screwed in tight enough and leaks out, so I ave had to tighten all of those which I own.

This nozzle is a replacement for a thumb operated nozzle which leaked from the side. I have not used the Fat Max yet, but I expect it will be fine in the spring. I am impressed with Orbit's customer service. Thanks.

We have tried a lot of different hose nozzles.....it seems to be difficult to find one we like that is also decent quality. This nozzle seems to be the best, we like the design, the water has good strength on all the different settings and it is comfortable to use...And the manufacturer backs them up with a warranty.
The nozzle is a nice design, with the exception of the squeeze handle, which, I believe, is the same as the "Craftsman" branded unit that had its' squeeze handle break. This happened 14 months after purchase. This is disappointing, firstly, when any of my "Craftsman" branded tools broke, I would just walk in, and Sears would replace-NO Questions. It has taken 40-50 miles of driving, and multiple calls to Craftsman, and finally to Dewalt to get this resolved.
Between RONA+ here in South Windsor, CRAFTSMAN, and DEWALT, something MUST improve.

This was actually a warranty replacement for my original nozzle. I like the nozzle and it works well. However, my original nozzle had a problem with the spring after a few months of use and it wouldn’t shut off anymore. Orbit promptly replaced it. Hopefully this one will last because we really like it otherwise.
