The unit that you sent me as a replacement also leaks

The unit that you sent me as a replacement also leaks. On first use, it leaked. So, it's totally useless to me.

Works much better than the older plastic model

Works much better than the older plastic model. The metal one hasn’t leaked yet, the plastic one it replaced started leaking from the dial pretty quickly. Time will tell but they’ve sent me 2 emails within a month of receiving it, asking for a review. So far it is fine but we will see in 6 months.

Better quality than the original timer that malfunction

Better quality than the original timer that malfunction. Seems to work as intended but only had it for a couple of weeks. The other timer malfunction after 6 months.
