Unfortunately these sprinkler caps seem to sheer at the top. I'm not sure if it is a case of the gardeners tightening them too tight, or the sun. In the last year I have replaced a dozen caps,and now I can't buy the individual caps, just the entire sprinkler. That is a waste.
